Ladyfinger Bamboo Origin
Ladyfinger bamboo originated here in Florida when Richard Waldron attempted to plant Bambusa edulis. The result was a bamboo species that nobody had ever seen before. It was given the name “Ladyfinger” due to it’s narrow culms and petite leaves.
Ladyfinger Bamboo Collectibility
Ladyfinger is among our smallest bamboo species which is part of the reason that I admire it planted in an ornamental pot.
